If you have a current work visa and you were dismissed from your job during a trial period, this visa lets you stay in New Zealand for up to 3 months. You cannot work on this visa.

As at 16 October 2026, Immigration New Zealand reports that 50% of recent Dismissed Worker Visitor Visa applications were completed within 2 weeks and 80% within 4.5 weeks. Individual applications can take longer, particularly if INZ requests further information.
