Frequently asked questions
Where the tools' data comes from, how fresh it is, and how the licence checker relates to the official register.
No. This site is not run by Immigration New Zealand or any other government agency. The tools are built on official data: visa processing times and forms from Immigration New Zealand, licences from the Immigration Advisers Authority register, and immigration lawyers from the New Zealand Law Society register. Where a tool and its official source differ, the official source is right.
Each tool says where its data comes from and how often it is read: visa processing times from Immigration New Zealand daily, the forms library monthly, and the Immigration Advisers Authority register monthly. The processing times tool also shows the date of its latest reading.
It is built from the Immigration Advisers Authority register, read once a month, and covers every immigration adviser ever registered, including lapsed licences. A licence can change between readings, so confirm the status on the official register before you engage anyone. If the two ever disagree, the register is right.
